The majority of the traffic summonses issued by Malaysia to Singaporeans across the Causeway over the past three years have been settled. Some 73,630 traffic summonses were issued and amount of RM8 million ($3.4 million)of these were paid.

After at least 5 rounds of talks with the US on the subject, Malaysia says it will not bow to pressure from Washington to meet the White House's fast-closing window to push a free trade pact through Congress without amendments.
