Ancient Portuguese wall halts building

The site for Malacca's revolving tower project has been relocated and building has restarted anew after work was temporarily stopped. The 110m-high tower was originally supposed to be built near the Parameswara Jetty, but was stopped when an ancient Portuguese wall was discovered on the site near the Stadhuys.

The stock market in Malaysia is booming. Led upwards by plantation stocks such as IOI Corp., the index rose 0.7% to its highest level in about a month, after Malaysian crude palm oil futures hit 2007 highs.
