Man passes himself off as doctor

A man who is a medical assistant has been masquerading as a doctor in his off hours. He was finally caught when he had a female patient's husband wait outside. The faux doctor allegedly molested the wife. The man, in his 30s, always presented himself well made RM40 an hour in private clinics.

Motorcyclists caught in roadblocks

Malaysian motorcyclists don't always obey the rules of the road. Traffic police set up roadblocks Saturday night to 3pm Sunday at locations in Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh, Terengganu and Selangor. There had been 3500 summonses issued for various traffic offenses, and 417 motorcycles were seized at the roadblocks because the riders were unable to produce their driving licenses or road tax. Another 20 drivers were held when they didn't pass drug tests.

Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi took his first visit to Syria today and they greeted him with open arms. Abdullah is in Syria to strengthen relations that date back to 1958.

Malaysia Cup Group B unimpressive

Sunday night's Malaysia Cup Group B was disappointing for everyone. It just wasn't a great game. So much so that fans of the home team displayed banners crying for the firing of the coach.

In an effort to promote racial unity Radio Televisyen Malaysia will broadcast special programs spotlighting the contributions made by the non-Malays in the struggle for independence. The shows will be aimed at younger people and shown in documentary format.
