To raise people's awareness about fast food, Radio Televisyen Malaysia will air programs. RTM will invite doctors, nutritionists, and educators to speak on the shows. Fast food ads will continue to air because of current contracts.

Young man turns small investment into multinational company

Epsilon Translation was founded in 2003 by John Lee with a RM20 investment. Now the business is in 40 countries with over 100 clients and is multinational as well. Epsilon Translation's core business is translating written and spoken languages in South East Asian countries, like Malay. It also does the subtitling of many popular TV shows.

Foreign workers convicted of more than 30% of crime

There is good reason to be concerned about the number of foreign workers in Malaysia. Thirty-four percent of the prison population is made up of foreigners. Stricter controls need to be placed on the foreign workers to keep them in their quarters and monitor them better.

Malaysians are just happy to finish triathlon

Businessman Omar Abdullah, 36, finished the 8th Langkawi Ironman Championship in 17 hours. But he finished! Another Malaysian who was just pleased to have completed the triathlon in the allotted time is Wong Chuk Lim, 58.

Satellite technology is exploding with the number of applications relying on satellites. Malaysia is emerging because of Digital Signage for advertising; Asset Tracking;Interactive Distance Learning; IPTV (Internet Protocol TV); and VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol). There are concerns about reception during storms and cost when compared to similar services offered through cable.
