Malaysia is in grave danger of its number of HIV infected surging to 300,000 by 2015 spreading from high-risk groups to the general public. No longer limited to drug addicts, the virus that caused AIDS is quickly spreading to women, factory workers, truck drivers, and fishermen. In an attempt to curb the spread, there are needle exchange programs and free antiretroviral drugs especially for women and children at government clinics. Malaysia is beautiful. It has immaculate beaches and ancient rain forests. And yet, the toilets are nauseatingly disgusting. So bad, in fact, that the government is going to start college courses in lavatory management. Enrollment should begin in three years.Original source: Times Online.
